International Committee
The Metro North Rotary International Committee oversees the Rotary Youth Exchange Program and the International Service Projects for the club.
The Rotary Youth Exchange Committee is responsible for recruiting and supporting both in-bound and out-bound students & securing host-families for in-bound students.
Rotary Youth Exchange is the opportunity of a lifetime for the more than 8,000 students who participate each year. By sharing their own culture and embracing a new one, participants help foster global understanding and, learn a great deal about themselves and their home country in the process. Rotary Youth Exchange is a study-abroad opportunity for young people to spend a school year as an international student hosted by local Rotary clubs.

The International Service Committee is responsible for the creation and implementation of international community service projects.
Rotary members unite across the globe to put our experience and knowledge to work tackling our most pressing challenges. We focus our efforts in six areas: promoting peace, preventing diseases, providing access to clean water and sanitation, enhancing maternal and child health, improving basic education and literacy, and helping communities develop.
A few of our projects over the years:
- Provided 10 computers and school supplies for the ACAPADES school in Tivaouane, Senegal in Africa.
- Provided 15 laptop computers to the school in Kipkaren, Kenya.
- Raised over $24,000.00 and drilled three wells in Kipkaren, Kenya supplying the town with fresh water for the first time ever.
- Provided school supplies to a school in Laos.
- Provided 8 laptop computers and school supplies to a school in Pinion, Haiti.
