Metro North Rotarians demonstrated their commitment to community service by volunteering at the 2025 Rotary Pribyl Junior Golf Classic, held from August 4 to 7 at various Cedar Rapids and Marion golf courses. This annual event, sponsored by the Cedar Rapids Area Rotary Clubs, offers free golf opportunities to local youth in grades 6 through 12.
Our members took on various roles, including registration, scoring, and course marshalling, ensuring the tournament ran smoothly and participants had a positive experience. Their dedication exemplifies Rotary's motto of "Service Above Self" and highlights our club's ongoing support for youth development and community engagement.
The 2025 tournament featured four divisions:
- Girls Open (Grades 9–12)
- Boys Open (Grades 9–12)
- Girls Novice (Grades 6–9)
- Boys Novice (Grades 6–9)
This year, the girls' divisions were expanded to include students from Johnson County, in addition to Linn County. Participation remained free of charge, emphasizing the event's commitment to accessibility and community involvement.
Congratulations to all the young golfers who participated, and thank you to our Rotarians for their time and effort in making this event a success.
